This test will take at least an hour. There are 20 questions and most of them require you to answer in your own words so that we can determine your knowledge of the analyser. Answer each question as thoroughly as you can. We've programmed the test so that most browsers will remember responses if you need to leave and come back later (it will autofill any answered questions if you start again) but its still a good idea to complete the test in one sitting.

Please do check with your Practice Manager before trying to take the test during your shift.

Your clinic should have the Skyla operator manual on file. It would be a good idea to read this thoroughly beforehand.

Questions about sampling...
Q1. What three sample types can be tested in the Skyla VB1 or Skyla Solution ?

Q15. Describe how the process for running single or dual tests differs from running a full panel or disk?

Q17. Globulin is described as a "calculated" parameter. What does this mean?
Q18. There are many variables that can impact blood test results, not just tests run on the Skyla, but all analysers, including those in the reference laboratories. Please detail at least 3 of these variables.
Q19. You've run a Skyla pre-anaesthetic test on a seemingly healthy patient but the results show several parameters as out of range. What is your next course of action?
Q20. An order of Skyla panels/disks has arrived at your clinic, but the ice packs in the esky are no longer very cold. Are the panels still ok to use?
Q21. Last Question! You're not in your clinic. They have no-one there who has used the analyser before and they call you for help when they need to run an urgent test on a patient.
