Hi friend,

Welcome to the first of our monthly newsletters.

We know you receive many emails from your suppliers, which is why we wanted to make our newsletters different. We want to make them about you and not so much about us. Sure, we'll profile our products and services, but only so we can explain how they can make your life easier. We'll also provide the answers to the questions we most commonly get asked from our clients, as well as share profiles of our team members' pets so you get a better feel for who you're working with.

We want you to look forward to our monthly emails, so we're also keen to include competitions and fun quizzes along with upcoming events. And we would LOVE to share interesting case studies from your clinic. We might even be able to offer you a special thank-you gift for taking the time to share your case study with us.

Of course, send us any ideas you may have about content for future newsletters. We really want to make sure we're providing content that helps you - because you're the most important component of Vepalabs.

Regards,

Emily

Quiz Question: What volume of whole blood is required by the new Skyla SH50 Haematology Analyser?

The P1 is a low-cost electrolyte analyser with a transparent cost-per-test, regardless of how many or how few tests you run. Click here to visit our website to find out more...

To enter the Quiz, click on the button below & answer an easy question about the Skyla SH-50.

You no longer have to worry about running enough monthly tests or wasting valuable fluid packs. The P1 provides the same economy regardless of the size of your practice.

Find the answer to the quiz question in this month's newsletter, and click on the link below to go into the draw to win a P1 Electrolyte Analyser & 50 Tests valued at $3,200.

The quiz is open until Friday 26 March 2024. The winner will be notified via email and phone and announced in next month's newsletter.

Q: What is this background test we run on our Haematology analyser every morning?

A: The background test, sometimes also called a "blank" test, is used to verify that your analyser is clean and ready for testing. It runs through the same procedure as if testing blood, except you don't give it a blood sample. So the machine is testing only diluent but still trying to find and identify blood cells. Of course, it shouldn't find any cells or other material. It reports the results to you, just as it does for normal blood results. Your results should be very close to zero for every parameter - indicating that there is nothing in the machine's fluid paths being mistaken for blood cells.

Do you have a question for our Vepalab experts? Send us an email and we'll answer your question in a future edition of our newsletter.

Hello Everyone!

My name's Hunter, and my adopted human is Emily; she works for Vepalabs as their Customer Relations Manager, so she can buy me all my yummy treats. I have been told that there are some cool veterinarians and Vet Nurses out there who want to know more about me! Well, where do I begin? I am 9 years old now, but I do not have to worry about losing my hearing as I was already born without it, so I guess one interesting fact about me is I can do commands through signs; it's pretty impressive if I don't say so myself. I can sit, stay, shake, wait… and I can always do a nose bump (that is my way of doing a fist bump!)

To be honest there isn't much else to tell because my favourite hobby is sleeping, if I am not trying to break into the food bucket, I am usually cuddled up somewhere places you can find me are my mum's lap or on her bed taking up the entire thing! I did recently get a cat brother though (who apparently also gets to write a blurb about himself at some point...

pfft whatever, I don't care). But can I just say little brothers are ANNOYING! While I am trying to laze around, I get poked, tapped and swatted, sometimes when mum is making my breakfast, I even see him steal some of my food, the audacity!

Anyways, as mum works away during the week, I get to eat all of my brave boy treats because sometimes I get anxious when I am left alone, but if I really play it up, oh boy, do I get the works for breakfast!! And when they get home, I then get to leap through the air at them and give them a big bear hug. We all then curl up on the couch, and I get to cuddle with everyone (including my annoying little brother).

I hope you have all enjoyed reading about little old me and my not-so-crazy life! I am sure when it is Nibble's time to shine, there will be more adventure as he is non-stop energy, like an Energex battery!

Have a wonderful day!!

Love and Sloppy Kisses,

Hunter!
